A Buddy is a unique companion minion tied to a specific hero. When available, Buddies join your warband automatically during the game — each Buddy has its own stats, tribes, and abilities that synergize with the hero's power.

Are all heroes Buddy-compatible?

Accepted Answer

Not every hero has a Buddy — Buddies are tied to the Buddy mechanic which rotates in and out of the game mode. When the mechanic is active, most heroes in the pool have an associated Buddy, but some do not. Each hero slug page lists the Buddy when one exists.

Can I filter Buddies by tribe or mechanic?

Yes — the hub has filters for tribe (Beast, Demon, Dragon, Elemental, Mech, Murloc, Naga, Pirate, Quilboar, Undead) and keyword mechanic (Taunt, Divine Shield, Deathrattle, Battlecry, and others). Filters narrow the grid in real time.
