While you can play the classic Rafaam curve and hero power every turn, you can also level on 2 in some instances and hero power+buy minion+buy spell on 5 gold, depending on your start and minions/spells offered. Try to think ahead and also avoid selling a minion to hero power, especially before you have 7 minions since that is usually not worth it.
