While I don’t think you want to force quillboar, you should pick up the buffs for blood gems since it’s so easy for you to generate them. I like buying a minion that can potentially be buffed early and focus all gems on it. Don’t keep gems in your hand waiting for the best minion to come because you can always move gems if needed!

Your heropower is only really good if the effect of the gems played is buffed enough otherwise spending your gold on other cards is often better. Keep in mind that Quillboar are not the only tribe that can be used to take advantage of this heropower.
